DCK: Target/Biomarker Introduction, products summarized (antibody/ADC/bispecific/antigen/ORF vector/VLP) and disease/indication/condition/MOA for drug discovery and IVD
It's the GeneMedi's summary page for Target/Biomarker Introduction of DCK. The page also collects GeneMedi's different modalities and formats products for DCK in therapeutics/drug discovery and IVD diagnostics, which is including antibody, ADC, bispecific, antigen, ORF vector, VLP, etc. With GeneMedi's target-insight database-GM ITD database, the DCK target is also connected to human indications/diseases/conditions/MOA.
Target sublocation: Introcelluar Protein.
Deoxycytidine kinase (DCK) is required for the phosphorylation of several deoxyribonucleosides and their nucleoside analogs.? Deficiency of DCK is associated with resistance to antiviral and anticancer chemotherapeutic agents.? Conversely, increased deoxycytidine kinase activity is associated with increased activation of these compounds to cytotoxic nucleoside triphosphate derivatives.? DCK is clinically important because of its relationship to drug resistance and sensitivity. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
